Hi, I’m Bailey DeReus.
I’m originally from West Des Moines, Iowa (yes, it’s a different city from Des Moines) and came to Lawrence, Kansas in 2003 to attend the University of Kansas. I earned a BA in Political Science and a BSJ (Bachelor of Science in Journalism) in Strategic Communications from the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communication. While a student, I became involved in campus activities, and spent 4 years as a part of Student Union Activities discovering my love for event planning. Through internships and community events, I know I want marketing and communications to be my career path. Event planning, communications, social media. Non-profit, start-up. Luckily, despite the past two years, there are a lot of opportunities out there. I’m excited to figure out which one is best for me.
